Steven E. Greer, MD is a doctor changing how hospitals care for the elderly as well as promoting wellness and prevention. After surgery training, he became a Wall Street analyst and portfolio manager. As a derivative of those efforts, he created The Healthcare Channel and partnered with mainstream media companies.

Greer then created BatteryPark.TV in 2009, which was rebranded as The Greer Journal in 2020. He saw an unmet need for local news coverage of Lower Manhattan politics, community affairs, and entertainment.

Over its first decade in existence, BatteryPark.TV became one of the most viewed news sites for original news on Lower Manhattan. His muckraking helped rid the city of many crooks. In doing so, he was attacked.

Dr. Greer was forced to learn how to litigate. Federal judge Laura Taylor Swain, Chief of the Southern District of New York, wrote in an official 2022 decision, “The Court notes that, although Plaintiff is proceeding pro se in this action, he is a fairly sophisticated and experienced litigant, who appears to possess a good understanding of the law—and thus will be treated with slightly less solicitude than might normally apply to a completely un-resourced and inexperienced pro se party.” Greer’s federal actions against Governor Cuomo’s Battery Park City Authority helped oust an administration as he took the case to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Greer has long been an outspoken critic of the fee-for-service American healthcare system and political corruption in general. Greer’s book The Medical Advocate details the reasons our healthcare system is in trouble. His book Tony’s Virus was the first of its kind in 2020 to call Tony Fauci a fraud.

Greer has been a frequent contributor to many cable TV shows, such as Reuters, NPR, WSJ, Fox, and CNBC. He has written several Op-Eds for the Wall Street Journal that led to changes within The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

When the BatteryPark.TV content morphed into national policy coverage and essays, the name was changed to The Greer Journal in January of 2020. Thus, a new chapter has begun. Dr. Greer is currently active in Florida and Ohio politics.
