The last time I was in China I was absolutely amazed at the thousands and thousands of trees that they had planted. They are literally everywhere, alongside the highways, down the center of the highways, in the urban and rural areas. Evidently the "elite" can't make enough money planting trees. I listened to Kerry's speech the other night. He started by saying that it was imperative but all countries address climate change together but then the entire remainder of the speech was all about, "there's lots of money to be made, lots of money" I think that's the real focus on this effort.
